Women's Group
(Funded by Big Lottery Fund)
To provide a safe and inspiring forum for women to meet and share experiences and increase access to information and understanding of local issues. To promote community health through strengthening local networks and providing opportunities for mutual support and friendship. To enable women to participate in the running of the Group, to take leading roles in the management of the Group and to act as representatives in other related Groups. We aim to create a confident and integrated community. We aim to build the self-confidence in the women, widen horizons and aspirations as well as the level of employment through the provision of training. We organise trips and outings for example; summer trips to the seaside, theatre and fruit picking.
